Conservation, not desecration

Like many of the posters here I have spent a lot of time enjoying Southlands as it is - including the beach, which is not over-run by hordes of cruise ship passengers.

I fully support the restoration of the buildings and a small low-cost cafe would be welcome on the main grounds. Parking should be discouraged by frequent bus service, not only east-west, but also north-south via Cobbs Hill on the east and Spice Hill road on the west. Some parking can be accommodated easily on the wide existing verge on the south side of South Road. Just paint a crosswalk.
