Challenging times make us creative in how we connect internally & externally. With so many students at home and technological advancements, it’s so simple to connect & conference.
Basic Concept:
- Career Development calls - I personally would love to sit on a conference call with 4 to10 students (maybe another colleague) and talk to them about In/Reinsurance & Accountancy and my journey to becoming a Reinsurance Accountant.
Medium Concept:
- Teacher or representative to be on any call.
- Structured Questions & Facilitator Notes.
- 1 HR / Week Commitment Per Employee
Full Concept:
- Local Connections - an educational hour taken off parent / teacher load.
- Employees – external connection and giving back.
Overview:
At xxxxxxx & also with the CPCU Committee, I attended a couple of 6th Form Careers Presentations in Bermuda & also Career Speed Networking. I really enjoyed interacting with the students and I remember saying to the students that my Accounting qualification was like a second passport which would allow me to work in many places over the world. Conference Calls are the perfect medium right now, but they would actually work Long Term as it doesn’t take as much time out of an employee days and it should be quite straight forward.
