Give kids of Bermudians status
From "Addressing the Challenge of an Ageing Population in Bermuda"
Go to the project
Give all kids status (not just kids born after a certain date) who didn’t happen to be born in Bermuda due to timing or life circumstances, but are children of Bermudians and have strong ties to the island. This will incentivize many Bermudians to move home!

Sadly I don't think it will help with people moving home especially if they have already made a good life elsewhere.

Agree with this suggestion. I would like to know what strong ties to the island means? Is it a bank account? lived on island for a period of time? visited the island significantly through childhood? Committed to service in Bermuda ( think RNs, senior school teachers, social services)? Siblings have status? The phrase is subjective and may cause just as much divide if not defined clearly. (This topic is divisive either way.) Whatever the criteria, it needs to facilitate direct benefits for our island and be transparent.
