Investing in our country

This is a new opportunity to build a fairer and more equal society.

I don't know much about business but is there a way for historically established companies and historically established businesses in Bermuda to open up the ownership, in the form of giving opportunities for more Bermudians to buy shares in the business. Most Bermudians are unaware or have been denied the opportunity to buy shares in established Bermuda Companies and thus become a 'part owner'. Those larger companies that are falling on hard times should consider opening up to share ownership. This would also bolster the potential to 'Buy Bermuda'. One would be more apt to buy from themselves, knowing that as the company profits, so do they. We need more public education on investing in our own country.
