No move to LNG

From "The National Electricity Sector Policy"

Go to the project

Having read about this topic today in RG it has made me realise that we are covering old ground having already rejected LNG previously as being a viable long term source of energy for Bermuda. We do not want to be locked into a fossil fuel solution which is prone to external supply chain disruption and pricing variability. We need to have Belco in the short run to continue use the existing fossil fuel but we need to accelerate alternative energy options. Technology is advancing all the time and we should make use of solar, wind but also consider micro-nuclear production and battery use in the energy mix.
