Opening the City - Get retail/business open sooner

From "Suggestions to stimulate economic recovery for Bermudians once Shelter in Place ends"

Go to the project

There are many ways to reduce volume of people streaming into Hamilton to keep in line with the covid-19 etiquette. An effective way would be to allow alternate access to town based on vehicle license plate numbers (odd vs. even) rather than the alphabet - also easier to police. This way we could start opening businesses sooner rather than trying to figure out crowd control.

It would be good to start thinking about retail opening hours to allow those who do work to take advantage of shopping in Bermuda. In this time and with the long summer evenings retail could offer opening hours till 7 or 8 pm to start stimulating the shopping experience locally
