Sell government land to low income persons
From "Suggestions to stimulate economic recovery for Bermudians once Shelter in Place ends"
Go to the project
Sell government owned land that is either no longer in use or vacant land. This land should be sold to Bermudians for affordable housing/land purchases or to be used as small farm land or other small business.
This will gain the government a small but good Start and help the people of Bermuda at the same time. If used for farming this will cut down on the countries reliance on imports of fruits and vegetables during a pandemic or shortage overseas.

Great proposal! So many derelict properties and vacant land available. Government need to incentivize the community at every opportunity. Government could also consider leasing land at affordable prices or just have them pay land tax (as a rent). This would be ideal for persons who want to take advantage of the new cannabis reform legislation and have land to grow their own plants.
