This is the perfect time for the government to start de-regulating and reducing the size of the government. Areas to start would be the modernization of the road traffic act, impose fines instead of mandatory court appearance, allow business to buy vehicles as needed without having to beg the gov't for permission. allow people to purchase vehicles that they want, i.e pickup trucks, etc.. allow for 2nd vehicles (perhaps 2nd vehicle has to be an A class or electric).
legalize and tax marijuana and subsequent spin off businesses for a new income stream.
Allow the promised casinos to be built.
Start infrastructure projects to make island safer. sidewalks down major roadways would be a good example of this.
Modernize and gut the Planning department, or increase staffing to streamline the process to remove the current delays.
