I would like to suggest allowing these industries to form a charity that provides unemployment benefits the charity should include a partnership with Insurance companies and allow staff employers the BTA and members of the public to contribute while the insurance company provides the benefit. The benefit could be similar to short term disability benefits offered by health insurance companies.

Also restaurants should be allowed to reopen with an emphasis on delivery. Staff should be given face masks.

Spa’s should be allowed to take clients. Practicing social distancing, masks and gloves etc.

Legislation amendments to landlord and tenants act should be made to modernize the act and to speak to returning deposits

The employment act to be updated to define the process for lay-offs and provide guidelines for employers and employees during lay offs. Employers should not be required to ask employees to do work once laid off and should not be allowed to change health benefits during a lay-off, sick or vacation leave.
