Leave Southlands as a natural nature park.

Dinah Sinnock•10 months ago It is enjoyed by most people as a peaceful and tranquil place to go for a walk. It doesn't need commercialization. Maybe a few signs explaining plants and things could be useful. Some renovations to existing buildings but so they remain in keeping with their original form. It is one of the few places that is still natural to the island so do not take away from that with cafe, shops, parking lots. The beach quite often disappears so not really appropriate for commercial use. We need to retain open spaces for future generations to enjoy and this is definitely one that shouldn't be messed around with and spoiled just to make money. Never had any problems parking along the roadside and definitely shouldn't have any vehicle access other than those that need to be there to maintain it.

Pets and regulations

Dinah Sinnock•8 months ago I notice that there has been no mention of pets in the new draft legislation. There needs to be some fair regulations covering pets as many tenants do have pets and would like to be able to rent and keep them. Look at the legislation that is now in place in the UK and I believe in parts of Canada. At the moment so many tenants are being denied accommodation because they have a pet which is discrimination and unfair.

No reduction in the number of jurors

Dinah Sinnock•7 months ago I don't think the number of jurors should be reduced to 8 as there are times when even 12 can't agree . Personally think 12 is a fair enough number for a person to receive a fair and just trial.

Ensuring we get enough rainfall

Dinah Sinnock•3 years ago We need to retain a certain amount of open space with trees and foliage which all help to produce rain. One of the islands of Hawaii had to import certain trees to help them with their water situation - I don't want to see this island being a total concrete block with not enough sustainable natural/environmental ways to manage our natural water supply. Maybe also reinforcing the fact that water is a precious commodity and should be treated with respect and used wisely. Just my thoughts.
