Develop. Develop. Develop.

Redmond Peterson•10 months ago Let the government do what they need to do here to get the economy to a spot where it needs to be. This island needs jobs badly and a more diversified economy. There's also nothing to do except for boating and beaches.

Allow left hand drive vehicles on Island

Redmond Peterson•2 years ago Bermuda is a relatively small country with a small population, we are limiting ourselves by exclusively allowing right hand drive cars. The right hand drive car market represents less than 25% of the world's total vehicle supply. These vehicles are also more complicated and more costly to maintain as we have to buy parts from far abroad in countries like india. At the least Bermuda should be allowed to import left hand drive cars and freely drive left hand cars on the left hand side of the road. At the utmost extremity I think that Bermuda should turn into a left hand drive country and also allow right hand drive vehicles to continue until the attrition off the road. This is not a new concept, Sweden converted from right hand drive to Left hand drive many years ago and this is a doable thing.

End Xenophobia With 2 Statuses On Island - Bermudian and Resident

Redmond Peterson•2 years ago Having travelled extensively from Bermuda I've noticed there are countries that are far more inclusive than Bermuda. I love living here but the process is confusing and leads to thinly veiled xenophobia.Right now looking at things I see the following classifications and anecdotal "nicknames" for one's own status in Bermuda:-Bermudian-Spouse of Bermudian (wife/husband etc)-Ex-pat-Work Permit Holder-Temporary Work Permit Holder-Resident-Permanent Resident-Passport Holderetc. These things come off as exclusive/exclusionary in most regards and act as a barrier of naturalizing or integrating into a location that benefits from foreigners coming here.I think there should be only 2 classifications which is1) Bermudian (this should be applied to people that are Spouses, Permanent Residents, Passport Holders) etc and anyone that has naturalized in Bermuda.2) Resident (this should be applied to people that are holding work permits or otherwise)
