V Edmonds 1 year ago The previous Southlands plan, as agreed by Bermuda’s voting public, was to maintain the land as a park for the people to enjoy with a minimum of upgrades. This proposal is certainly not a “minimum upgrade.” In addition, we have a beautiful beach (Horseshoe) which is less than 4km west of Southlands. When the tender was won on that location, the lessee agreed to a significant investment in that property. Why doesn’t the government focus on investment in existing developed beach properties instead of further deforesting our parks and “filling a need that is not there?”

V Edmonds 1 year ago Intra-company transfers are often completed to fill hiring needs with individuals currently employed by the company with the benefit that those individuals already have significant training and company knowledge. However, this could limit opportunities for Bermudians, especially for large global organizations who have many existing staff members available to continuously transfer and fill Bermuda positions. Suggest limiting intra-company transfers to a specific period of 6-months to one year.

V Edmonds 1 year ago Section 1.14: Advertising waiver- the draft includes automatic waivers for MDs and Directors - please clarify or define these roles. There are many Bermudians qualified for both of these roles who should have the opportunity to apply for same after advertisement. Additionally does "Director" refer to board membership or any director. Note that within the (re)insurance industry the role of director equates to Vice President which should not be exempted from advertising.

V Edmonds 10 months ago Many comments have been submitted; I hope they are reviewed in full as the Landlord Tenancy Act is of concern to many of us and NEEDS updating. BUT, I hope when it is redrafted post the public’s input here…that the government allows a second comment period for the redraft. It has taken us YEARS to get here and I hope the process isn’t rushed - yes, we need it but we need it to be correct & well thought out. Thanks for considering!
