Affordable Housing Strategy Consultation

The Ministry of Housing and Municipalities has launched a public consultation on the Bermuda Affordable Housing Strategy 2025–2035.

This consultation draft sets out a comprehensive, ten-year framework to address Bermuda’s growing housing challenges, including rising costs, limited supply, and increasing demand across all income levels. It outlines a strategic approach to expanding affordable and attainable housing, modernising legislation, strengthening governance, and supporting sustainable, accessible communities. The Strategy places particular focus on those most in need, including seniors, young families, essential workers, and households facing housing insecurity.

We invite members of the public, industry stakeholders, developers, landlords, and community partners to share their views on the proposed Strategy. Your feedback is essential in helping the Government ensure the plan is practical, effective, and responsive to Bermuda’s needs. Participants are encouraged to contribute their perspectives on any aspect of the Strategy to help shape a more balanced, inclusive, and sustainable housing future for Bermuda.
